Terms of service.
These are the rules around using our website, reserving a HOMI, purchasing one, and what to expect on both sides. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.

Who we are
HOMI is a product of Prizmox. "We," "us," and "our" mean Prizmox. "You" means the person reading this, visiting our website, joining our waitlist, or purchasing our product.
Preorders
A HOMI preorder reserves a unit from our first production run (capped at 500 units for v1). Shipping is scheduled for Q4 2026.
Preorders are fully refundable, for any reason, at any time before your unit ships. To cancel, email support@homi.prizmox.com.
If we are unable to ship your HOMI by March 31, 2027, you may cancel and receive a full refund. If we shift the shipping window, we will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance.
Price and payment
Preorder price is $349 USD; post-launch market price is $399 USD. Prices exclude applicable taxes and customs duties, which depend on where you live.
Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number. If your payment fails, we will email you and keep your waitlist position for 7 days before releasing it.
Shipping
Free standard shipping to the US and EU. Worldwide shipping is available at cost. We use a third-party logistics provider; you will receive a tracking link when your order ships.
Customs duties, VAT, and any import taxes are your responsibility and are not included in our pricing unless specifically marked.
Returns
30-day returns on unopened and opened units. If the product doesn't work for you, send it back in reasonable condition and we will refund the purchase price minus return shipping.
For defective units, see the Warranty section below — you do not pay shipping on warranty returns.
Warranty
HOMI comes with a 1-year limited hardware warranty against manufacturing defects. During this period, we will repair or replace a defective unit at our option, at no cost to you.
The warranty does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, modification (e.g. you replaced the SSD with a different model), or issues caused by third-party software you've installed on top of the shipped OS.
To make a warranty claim, email support@homi.prizmox.com with your order number and a description of the issue.
Your use of HOMI
When you buy a HOMI, you own it. You can use it however you like, including:
- Installing third-party Home Assistant add-ons, including ones we did not ship.
- Replacing the shipped software entirely (you own the hardware; it's a general-purpose x86 machine).
- Modifying, repairing, or reselling the device.
If you replace the shipped software or modify the hardware, this does not void the hardware warranty for defects unrelated to your changes — but it is your responsibility to demonstrate the issue is not caused by your modifications. Common sense applies on both sides.
Open-source software
HOMI runs Home Assistant OS, which is open-source software licensed by the Home Assistant project under its respective licenses. A list of included open-source components and their licenses is shipped with the device and available at support@homi.prizmox.com.
Home Assistant, Home Assistant OS, and the Home Assistant logo are trademarks of the Home Assistant Foundation. We are not affiliated with the Home Assistant Foundation or Nabu Casa unless specifically disclosed.
Our responsibilities and limits
We provide email and forum-based support within 72 business hours. We do not guarantee 24/7 availability, phone support, or whiteglove installation.
We cannot guarantee that every third-party smart-home device you own will work with HOMI forever. Compatibility is driven by the upstream Home Assistant project and by manufacturer decisions outside our control. We can say in advance what works at the time you preorder — see our compatibility checker — but future changes by third-party manufacturers are not something we can warrant against.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of HOMI or this website is limited to the amount you paid us for the product. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or anything a consumer-protection statute in your jurisdiction says cannot be limited.
Acceptable use of the website
Don't try to break, overload, or scrape our website. Don't use it to send spam, misrepresent yourself, or upload malicious content. Don't use any automated tooling to create mass preorders or exhaust our stock.
If you do, we may cancel your orders, ban your access, and refund anything you paid minus reasonable processing costs.
Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we'll email you (if we have your email) and post the change here with an updated date. Material changes take effect 30 days after notice. Non-material updates (clarifications, fixing typos) take effect immediately.
Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which Prizmox is registered. Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at hello@homi.prizmox.com and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally. Nothing in this clause restricts your consumer-protection rights under the law of your country of residence.
